Artie was born on January 24, 1860, in Cherokee County, NC. She and Enoch Mitchell Allen (b. 11/25/1855, d. 06/09/1908), also of Cherokee County, were married by Magistrate G.F. Rose on March 14, 1878.
Artie Taylor Allen died on December 28, 1900, and is buried beside her husband at the Allen Family Cemetery, Suit, NC.
