John B. Stiles, Jr

John B. "Foxy John" Stiles, Junior, was born in 1841 in Haywood County, North Carolina, to John B. Stiles, Sr (1802-186?) and Mary "Polly" Cogdill. Around 1866, he married Clarissa "Clearsey" Ingram (12/16/1836-06/11/1921), daughter of John Ingram and Jane Hall. The couple lived in Cherokee County, NC, and reared six children:

1. Madison Theodore, born circa 1867.
2. John Wesley "Big", born January 08, 1869; died April 08, 1951.
3. Poley Columbus "Lum", born circa 1871.
4. William Ervin, born January 15, 1874; married Laura Elizabeth Walker (05/30/1879-12/11/67) on August 19, 1894; died February 08, 1962.
5. Mary, born after 1876; married Jake Walker.
6. Sidney Ashberry, born September 09, 1876; died December 12, 1953.

Foxy John died August 03, 1929, in the Shoal Creek community of Cherokee County. Clearsey had died on June 11, 1921, in Shoal Creek.
